Selby reads your calendar and posts to the tools you already bill with

Selby replaces the timer app, the spreadsheet and the invoicing tool, and keeps the rules of each contract in one spot.
Start a timer from anywhere, or accept yesterday’s meetings as time
Start from the menu bar, a Slack command or an Asana task. Every morning Selby lists yesterday’s calendar events next to the client they belong to, and one click turns an event into an entry at the right rate.

Rounding rules that match each contract, shown on the invoice
Round to 6, 15 or 30 minutes, up or to the nearest, with a shortest billable entry for calls. The rule lives on the client’s contract, and the invoice can show raw and rounded time side by side.
The invoice writes itself from the week you approve
Approved hours become invoice lines grouped by project, with expenses and tax. Clients pay by card or ACH from the invoice, and polite reminders go out on the days you choose.

No training, no setup call. Most people send their first invoice from Selby in the same week they sign up.
Calendar events become suggested time. Invoices post to QuickBooks or Xero, and clients pay through your own Stripe account.
I used to lose a Friday afternoon a month to invoices. Now I approve the week at four, and most clients pay before the next Friday.

Rounding lives in each contract now, so nobody argues about a tenth of an hour. Last quarter I billed 41 hours I used to write off.

We are four consultants on the Practice plan. Utilization went from a spreadsheet I rebuilt every month to a number I read on Monday.

Yes. Upload the CSV export and Selby brings over clients, projects, rates and up to three years of entries. Entries that were already invoiced stay marked as invoiced, so nothing is billed twice. Most imports take under ten minutes.
It is standard in professional services when the client agreed to it. Selby keeps the rule on each contract, and the invoice can show raw and rounded time side by side, so the client sees exactly what happened.
Every invoice has a pay button. Clients pay by card or ACH bank transfer through your own Stripe account. Stripe's usual fees apply and Selby adds nothing on top.
No. They get a link to the invoice, and to the timesheet if you share the week. They can approve, leave a note on a line, or pay without signing up.
You can export every entry, invoice and client as CSV or PDF at any time. After you cancel the account stays readable for 90 days, then it is deleted.
Each client can be billed in USD, CAD, GBP or EUR with its own tax line. Reports convert to USD at the rate on the invoice date.
